Married Life

Married Life~ what can I say. The feeling of finding someone that can make you smile everyday, someone that can make your bad day a good day just by a look, someone that can hold you and all your fears go away, someone that listens, someone that tells you the truth, no matter what. That person does exist, and he exists for me and with me. Jason is my rock and my life. He is my light and my everything. I love you Jason more than the world! You are my everything!

Time to Try

Well, I'll try this on for size. Things around here and in my life are a bit crazy. I've seen a lot and done a lot and I'm ready to settle down and slow down. Thankfully, I have my wonderful husband Jason to be there for me and with me. For the past 10 months I've been here in Afghanistan. There is a lot that I've learned, about myself and other cultures. It has been a very long, long, 10 months and I'm ready to be home with my darling Jason. 2 more months and I will be out of this sandpit. The past 10 months I have seen many different versions of Afghanistan. I started out at a PRT site where we were helping the local government rebuild that part of Afghanistan. Some of the locals where perceptive to us being there but, like anywhere you go, there were a few that were not happy for us to be there and very ungrateful. I spent only 3 months out there with some great people and soldiers. Some of the land was beautiful and some was, well, nothing to write about. After that I was then moved to a main base here in Afghanistan where I have been for the past 7 months. I am in an MP unit and we have had a variety of missions. Again I have seen more of Afghanistan and had some really awesome experiences, along with the scary. The Army has given me many great opportunities, the best being meeting my wonderful husband, and meeting some interesting people. I have only a couple years left, and then I will move on back into the civilian world... oh how I miss it. But as for now, I will sign off and figure this thing out!
